QotD: Chinese New Year

Comments

Well, how convenient that I'm a dog.
I'm an Ox.
I'm a plow animal that was born in the dead of winter so the farmer will have to care for me. This is supposed to mean that someone else will take care of me all my life. So far it is not working out. :-(
As far as what animal you are, it really depends upon when you were born according to the lunar calendar. Brenda was born in January so she really is a Rooster.

Honestly and truly, I am a tiger. The description even fits me...

Go check the chart again. I'm a dog.
Were you born in 58 or 59? It was 59, wasn't it? Same as my big sister. You are a Dog, she is a Pig. I am still a Cow. My darling son however, is a Dragon.
So sorry, I added a year to your age. My bad.
Pig, apparently. Chivalrous and gallant...sounds like me. Quick tempered but hates arguments? Superstitious hokum.

Superstitious hokum.

Of course it is, just like Western astrology and numerology [1]. The easy way to check it is to read the description for another person and see if it fits at least as well. Even better, find another person and read them yours, and then watch as they rationalize it to themselves.

[1] This isn't to say that they aren't useful as a framing tool for one to reflect one one's situation. But as personality predictors, they are useless.
